Ready for digital transformation

We regularly speak to business owners who still do their administrative work in Excel. This can be advantageous if you are just starting out or are looking for a cheap solution. After all, you often have this software on your computer by default. When your business starts to grow, there are dangers lurking. First, working in Excel is time-consuming because you have to enter everything manually. Following that, the chances of making mistakes are a lot higher. Entering the wrong data or making a classic typo can cause your records to go haywire.

Our Home Island took care of its administration in Excel. After some time, like other growing entrepreneurs, they lost the overview. That is why they approached us to develop a digital planning board that made the workflow transparent at a glance.

The redesign of the planning board

We started by identifying the problems in the Excel file. Nadja noted that it was difficult to share with her team, that the completion process was prone to errors, and that certain status information was not clear.

We then created a design for the new planning board. Following this design, we developed an initial version, which could then be tested.

What did we accomplish?

Created a digital flexible plan board, which runs in cloud and Nadja can add multiple plan boards herself, change statuses and share this easily with her team. Below is a visual representation of the functionalities we realized:
