A month ago I flew abroad with Danny, Bali to be exact. By the way, this was also my first working vacation. When I told friends I was going to Bali, nine out of ten reactions were, "Are you going to sell a course then?" And I don't blame them, because skeptical, in fact, I was at first too.
Therefore, I want to share with you the reason behind this working vacation and how I have really experienced it so far.
Bali has been the hot spot among digital nomads for years. I have talked to many people who have already seen much of the world. Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa, you name it all. But they all say the same thing: Bali is the place to go for entrepreneurs in the digital world. And I can see why.
Returning to our motif. You might have guessed it, but it is focused on learning from other digital entrepreneurs. Not to mention, of course, we also enjoy the freedom, good food and beautiful weather.
In this paragraph, I want to address directly our motive, which is to learn from other entrepreneurs. So how does that work and what does that look like? I'm going to explain it to you.
Co-working, the name says it all, are places where you can work together. The hostel where we are staying also has a co-working space. For your image, here 150 people are "working" at the same time on, for example, AI applications in marketing, their own e-commerce brand or running an agency.
I deliberately put the word "work" in quotes, because you shouldn't be there if you really want to make meters. Because you have so much common ground and information to share with each other, you're just talking for two hours. You learn an awful lot from this: from business tips to auditing each other's ad accounts to receiving and sharing valuable information. It all happens.
In the first few weeks we saw a lot of the island. For those who have been there before, it is well known that there are beautiful places to discover. However, this takes a lot of energy: packing suitcases, traveling by boat or cab, and then on to the next place.
Therefore, we decided to settle in a permanent place and really consider it our home base. For example, we took out a gym subscription, which allows us to pick up the same habits we had in the Netherlands. After all, a human being is made for structure, and when you don't have this, you notice that you get tired quickly mentally, but also physically.
You meet many people of different nationalities and everyone has their own story. You can also learn lessons from this. Why did people make certain choices and how did it work out for them? In fact, several times I have thought, 'I never looked at that from this point of view.' You learn a lot from this, and this helps you with future choices ahead of you.
All in all, it is a very beautiful experience that I would not want to miss. That's why we decided to stay here even longer, because there is still more to learn and experience. As I had told you, I was skeptical at first, but now I can definitely understand why people take the step to work abroad.
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog about my experience working abroad.
"In mid-2019, we knocked on Lifino's door for a new program for our company. They developed a system that our team of 30 uses daily to view client data, tax reporting, record hours, and more.
We have been working with Danny and his team for 5 years now. We really appreciate the commitment and good suggestions! The program saves us about 30% in time. We are super satisfied with it!"

The aftercare is also excellent; regularly they ask if everything is still working well and to their liking. And the price is fine too!"
